Swedish retailer IKEA sets up its manufacture in Russia. Large part of its products are going to be exported.



IKEA plans to export Russian flax products


Swedish retailer IKEA sets up its manufacture in Russia. Large part of its products are going to be exported.


Today IKEA manufactures 60% of its products in Russia. It cooperates with 60 local producers from different regions and it is going to extend cooperation.


The next IKEA project is scheduled to be open in 2018. The biggest «Mega» shop in Europe will be opened in Mytishchi. Last time shops in Russia were opened in Ufa and Samara in 2011.


IKEA is a large retain chain that sells furniture and interior features with more than 300 shops in 26 countries. Its profit in 2015 (finished in August) was €32.7 bln. With the profit margin - €3.5 bln.
