Metro Cash & Carry, a company developing in Russia convenience food stores operating under 'Fasol' brand on a franchise basis, plans to accelerate the growth rates of its chain in the years to come. As reported by the Retail News Agency, the company intends to move its chain beyond Moscow and the Moscow Region in the short-run.
According to Boris Minialaya, the CEO of Fasol retail chain, the company will enhance its efforts to expand the entire franchising chain. Its short-range plans provide for the annual doubling of new shops in the Russian market. In accordance with the data available as at April 2016, Fasol chain includes about 200 stores, most of which are located in the Capital’s area. The chain's format is 50 to 150 square meters.
