The first plant of Bridgestone to operate in Russia is going to be opened in 2016 in the Ulyanovsk Region. The new enterprise will have made it possible to manufacture radial tires by 2018 with the Russian market being the target to benefit from its high quality output.

The construction of the plant commenced in 2014. Today, the construction is about to be completed – installation and startup operations are being completed and necessary documents are being finalized. The foundation for the production of Bridgestone's tires in Russia will be laid in the second half of 2016. When put into full-steam operation which is expected to take place by 2018, the plant will manufacture 12 thousand radial tires per day which is more than 4 million in annual terms.

The construction and commissioning of the plant in the Ulyanovsk Region are taking place in full compliance with the environmental law of the Russian Federation. Moreover, the company's environment protection standards are often stricter than the statutory requirements of a country expected to host its corporate facilities.
