Globus, a German retail operator, intends to construct a retail park in Pushkino, a Moscow satellite town, where it commissioned its hypermarket in late 2015.

Globus, a German retail operator, intends to construct a retail park in Pushkino, a Moscow satellite town, where it commissioned its hypermarket in late 2015. The company plans to invest some RUB 9 billion to develop the project. The project implementation is expected to take place in 2015 to 2015.

The project in Pushkino is to be implemented at a plot exceeding 82 hectares with the company ultimately retaining approximately a half of it while its second half will be made available to other investors for greenfield construction. More specifically, the retail park itself will occupy 30 hectares and the balance of the area will be used to construct an industrial and logistic center, roads, junctions and utility infrastructure.

In 2016, Leroy Merlin and Decathlon will open their own hypermarkets in the retail park; the park will also accommodate a KFC restaurant and Darvin, a gardening center (in 2017). Globus is also searching for a fuel operator and furniture retailer; it is going to open a merchant center to offer services and appropriate commodities to motorists, a coffee shop and other quick service restaurants. Globus is going to commission all utilities and register its title to them in 2016 and expects to have completed the construction of all transport infrastructure by 2019.
