France is ready to strengthen its economic relations with the Rostov Region, including, but not limited to, the regional center. This was announced at a French and Russian business meeting held in the capital of the Don River area.

France is ready to strengthen its economic relations with the Rostov Region, including, but not limited to, the regional center. This was announced at a French and Russian business meeting held in the capital of the Don River area.

Deputy CEO of the French and Russian chamber of commerce and industry Nicola Ducre noted that the Rostov Region features a great cooperation potential. "We are interested in developing fruitful bilateral cooperation with regional companies representing different economic sectors. This is a goal and objective of our business mission. We unite about 400 enterprises operating in the Russian market", the head of the French delegation said. The French guests paid special attention to the agricultural area.

The foreign delegates expressed their readiness to help Don entrepreneurs do their business and to exchange their experience.

We should note that today the main portion of export operations is constituted by supplies of spare parts for electric machinery and equipment (57.7%) and products of animal origin (30.8%). Import operations are basically grain crops, dairy products, oil seeds (69.3%) and engineering products (about 19%).

For nine months of 2015, foreign trade turnover between the Don Region and France totaled $23.8 million. This figure has reduced by 3.5 times year on year.
