Three new investors in the Orel Region

Three large-scale investors are constructing a plant for advanced soya been processing and two greenhouse compounds in the Orel Region. Their investments to implement all the projects will total RUB 9 billion.

The project aimed to create the hi-tech facility for advanced soya been processing will be implemented by National Global. The 30 ktpa facility will make products to be used in the meet-processing, confectionery and dairy industries. The construction of the plant is expected to start in 2016 and will require RUB 4.2 billion. The launching of the facility is scheduled for 2019. An appropriate agreement has already been executed between Governor Vadim Potomsky of the Orel Region and CEO of the investor company Mia Satter.

Prompark will construct a greenhouse compound in the Region until 2018 to grow vegetables on protected ground. Investments will total RUB 3.3 billion. The compound will supply about 11.5 thousand tonnes of cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce and green vegetables per annum.

Orlovsky Teplichny Kombinat, however, intends to grow vegetables using the 'photoculture' technology providing for plant growing under artificial lighting. For this purpose, the company will build a greenhouse compound for some RUB 1.6 billion in the next two years. The compound will annually supply up to 14,000 tonnes of products.
