Thailand finds investors to construct a sugar plant in the Khabarovsk Territory

A company from Thailand has made a shortlist of foreign investors from Indonesia and Japan to construct a sugar plant in the Khabarovsk Territory. The design capacity of the plant that will process cane raw sugar will be 1.5 ktpa. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $200 million.



Thailand finds investors to construct a sugar plant in the Khabarovsk Territory


A company from Thailand has made a shortlist of foreign investors from Indonesia and Japan to construct a sugar plant in the Khabarovsk Territory. The design capacity of the plant that will process cane raw sugar will be 1.5 ktpa. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $200 million.


Sutech Engineering, the company which is implementing the project in the Russian Far East, has already shortlisted investors from various countries, in particular, a company from Indonesia will supply specific components of equipment while Thailand and Japanese banks will provide financing.


The facility's design capacity is 1.5 thousand tonnes of products per day. It will process cane raw sugar that will be supplied from Thailand and other countries of the Southeast Asia and will consume Russian raw materials as well. The sugar produced in the Khabarovsk Territory will be in demand in the markets of the Far East, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and north-east provinces of China.
