Construction of a EUR 10 million industrial products plant rolling out in the Stupino District, Moscow Region
The first stone will be laid in the foundation of a hi-tech electrical products plant of Phoenix Contact, a German company, in STUPINO QUADRATE special economic zone on Friday, as reported by the Press Office of the Moscow Region's Ministry of Investments and Innovations.
The facility's output will be 9 million electromechanical components and 700 thousand relay modules p.a. About EUR 10 million is expected to be invested into the facility that may potentially offer approximately 100 new job opportunities.
The company is currently developing design documents and plans to construct and commission the plant not later than 2Q 2017.
The plant will be located on a site exceeding one hectare in size, localizing the production of spring clips, terminal screws, surge overvoltage protection modules and PLC relays.
It is also planned to create a center of regional competencies to develop new electrical engineering and electronic items for the Russian market and entire Eurasian region.
German Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG manufactures hi-tech equipment used in various lines of industry such as oil & gas, power, machine-building and others. In 2002, it incorporated its Russian subsidiary Phoenix Contact RUS.
