JD.com from the "The Heavenly Empire" will launch an online cinema in RU-part of the Internet shortly. The contemporary project will be based on a new or existing available platform jointly with its partners from Russia, according to an officer of the Internet retailer.

JD is known to sell smart TV sets, which are pretty decently sought after, in Russia. In this connection, a decision was made to create an online cinema to broadcast foreign and Russian TV series. Chinese companies are reportedly authorized to publicly display some Hollywood movies in their country. They will also succeed in agreeing with foreign partners on extending these rights to the Russian market.

The company's unit will open in Russia. A Russian version of JD.com's web-portal has been functioning since summer 2015. Each year, the retailer's global network turnover generates about sixty billion dollars.
