LLC Rosmolprom (Kursk Region) has announced a project on constructing a commercial dairy facility for a 4.8 thousand milking herd and 5.7 thousand forage-fed cows in the Belgorod Region for a total investment of RUB 5 bln. The owner of the company, an Indian investor, has not implemented any project in the dairy segment of the region so far, but owns a number of other project across Russia.
The project provides for the construction of two dairy farms each to feature a 2.4 thousand milking herd (Holstein Frisian) until the end of 2017. The total capacity of the farms will be approximately 45 thousand tonnes of milk per annum. The company has already selected a 4.7 thousand hectares site in the Valuysky Area to implement the project. An additional 5.3 thousand hectares plot is now being selected. The company plans to expand the project by another 4.8 thousand milking herd in future.
LLC Rosmolprom was registered in May 2015 in the Kursk Region. Mr. Rakesh Kumar is the company's founder being a co-owner of a number of companies operating in Moscow and the Primorye Territory as well as LLC Molochny Mir, a Belgorod-based company registered in July.
