Negotiations involving the managements of several major Chinese companies were held as part of a recent visit of the Chelyabnisk Region's delegation headed by Governor Boris Dubrovsky to China.

Negotiations involving the managements of several major Chinese companies were held as part of a recent visit of the Chelyabnisk Region's delegation headed by Governor Boris Dubrovsky to China. The main result of the visit is an agreement to draft and execute agreements for supplying agricultural products and developing the Southern Ural Transport and Logistic Center.

"The working visit to China was busy. Deadlines for executing an investment agreement to construct a cement plant with CONCH, a cement producer, have been determined. I hope our business trip has given a new momentum to this project. Negotiations with the Government of the Shanxi Province were very effective. A basic agreement between our regions is scheduled to be executed in April 2016 as well as a bilateral agreement between the Southern Ural Transport and Logistic Center and a similar facility in Shanxi", Boris Dubrovsky said.

The Southern Ural Transport and Logistic Center accepted first freights from China in 2015 and laid foundation for a new transport corridor – Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China – Republic of Kazakhstan – Chelyabinsk Region.
