Chinese Intend to Open Cellular Glass Production Facility near Penza
Penza Region Development Corporation and Chinese company “Gansu Pengfei Insulation Materials Co, Ltd” signed a protocol on cooperation.
At the meeting the parties discussed possible location of a cellular glass production plant at the territory of industrial park “Otvel”. They also discussed the specifics of Russian legislation, local market risks and prospects to obtain state support for the project.
Facility which the company plans to locate in Russia shall comprise 4 technological lines producing cellular glass. Volume of investments into construction of the plant with production capacity of 120 thousand cubic meters of production a year will make about USD 60 million. It is planned to arrange 60 working places at the enterprise.
Cellular glass is used in petro-chemistry, construction works, defense projects, storage equipment, chimney flues and etc. Crushed glass and additives are used to produce cellular glass.
