In recent years Turkish entrepreneurs are getting more interested in Dagestan. Today there are several projects being implemented: a large-scale project of clothing manufacture by Nergiz Group and a new greenhouse facility by AytekinGroup.


To explore the possibilities of investments in Dagestan’s economy, Turkish business representatives and experts visited the republic. Among them were the president of "Başak Insaat" Akky Gul, the director of furniture manufacturing company “EMOHOME” Ali Shen, the director of lighting company “Bahar” Bahri Yilmaz and others.


Within 2 days, Turkish guests visited the investment sites of Dagestan.The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investments of the Republic of Dagestan Yusup Umavov told about the investment potential of the region and its top-priority projects. "The investment portfolio consists of 57 projects worth 197 billion rubles, and more than 100 investment proposals worth more than 200 billion rubles. 30 of them gained the status of priority investment projects of the republic of Dagestan. For two years, the republic has been implementing more than 18 investment projects to the amount of attracted private investment of 21 billion and created more than 5.5 thousand jobs".


Turkish entrepreneurs expressed their interest in Dagestan’s projects, especially in the area of manufacture. “It was our first acquaintance with Dagestan. We’ve already considered the areas of cooperation and the companies we are going to work with. Next time, the delegation to Dagestan will be much bigger – about 20 business representatives”, said Ali Shen.
