Turkish investors set sights on Krasnodar

A meeting with the business representatives of Turkey was held in the Krasnodar administration. The Deputy Head of Krasnodar and the Director of Finance Alexander Mikheev organized the formal reception for the delegation of Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association.

Among the guests were Ahmet Hamdi Gurdogan, the Head of Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association, Mehmet Özer, Idris Çevik, Şeref Bektaşoğlu and Cemil Yilmaz, the representatives of the Association, and Emek Alpaslan, the commercial attaché of the Turkish Consulate General in Novorossiysk. The meeting was also attended by the executive director of the Association of Exporters and Importers of Kuban Roman Vorotnikov and the Director of The Center for Coordination of Support Export-Oriented Small and Medium Enterprises of Krasnodar region Evgeny Golovushkin.

The share of Turkish services and goods in the total volume of foreign services and goods in Kuban is 15%, and this number could be much more, consider Krasnodar authorities. In particular, they suggest Turkish businesspeople to invest in wood-working and textiles. The authorities are ready to support the most attractive projects serving the region’s interests. The prospects of a passenger service between Turkey and Krasnodar region were also discussed, including a voyage from Sochi to Istanbul that can reappear in future.

At the moment, Krasnodar has about 30 joint Russian-Turkish enterprises, mainly in construction and production of foodstuffs and consumer goods.
