Fazer Group will invest 14.4 billion rubles in construction of a bakery plant in St. Petersburg. The corresponding project was approved at the today’s meeting of the Governor’s Investment Council.
The project will be implemented in two stages. The first stage, the construction of a 6-billion rubles frozen foods plant, will be launched in 2016-2018. The second stage (2023-2025 years) includes the construction of a plant producing fresh bakery at the cost of 8.4 billion rubles. The first plant will produce 35 thousand tons, the second – 100 thousand tons per year.
Fazer Group is an international family-owned company producing bakery and pastry and operating a chain of restaurants and cafés. Fazer operates in eight countries and exports its products to more than 40 countries. The net company’s revenue in Russia reached 14.7 billion rubles in 2013 and 12 billion in 2014.
