Finnish company to open house-building plant in Karelia
Finnish Omatalo Group is going to open a plant producing house components in Petrozavodsk. As the Board Chairman of the company Tapio Pitkänen told at the meeting with the Head of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen, at the moment the company develops a business plan of a house components factory in Petrozavodsk.
Omatalo Group produces house components at the plant in Finland and exports them to Russia, Kazakhstan, the Baltics, Czech Republic and Sweden. Company’s products in Russia are sold under the name of “Finsky dom”.
Alexander Khudilainen explained that Karelia gives investors significant tax advantages and the support of the Development Corporation. Today Karelia hosts about 80 partly Finnish owned companies, and there is a growing interest among Finnish entrepreneurs.
