In September 2015, German company PERI, one of the world’s largest providers of formwork and scaffolding systems, launched a production of girder VT 20 at its new plant in Noginsk near Moscow.
PERI Company started to produce girders in Russia
In September 2015, German company PERI, one of the world’s largest providers of formwork and scaffolding systems, launched a production of girder VT 20 at its new plant in Noginsk near Moscow. VT 20 is used in slab formwork systems, including PERI MULTIFLEX, and is the only product on the market with center wall made of high-test wood chipboard of P7 class. The beam of the girder is made of solid spruce wood.
A number of technological know-how was integrated in the production process of VT 20, including the technology of gluing that guarantees high strength. The plant has an automated system of glue application and glue bond quality control.
“The decision to start a production in Russia was motivated by high demand on such product in the domestic market. However, the plant capacity allows to sell VT 20 not only domestically, but also to customers from CIS countries and even Europe. In the nearest future the production will be certified in All Union Stated Standard system and ISO”, says Roman Belov.
PERI plant in Noginsk will produce 2.15 running meters of girder. Russia-produced products have been available in warehouses since September 2015. The assortment includes 22 stock items: 11 standard typical sizes from 1.45 to 5.9 m for each of two modifications: with and without metal points.
