The officials of Ulyanovsk Region continue their work to further develop the largest machine-building cluster. A milestone event for the region took place in the beginning of the week, when “DMG Mori Seiki” Group opened its first factory in Russia.

The officials of Ulyanovsk Region continue their work to further develop the largest machine-building cluster. A milestone event for the region took place in the beginning of the week, when “DMG Mori Seiki” Group opened its first factory in Russia. At the International Investment Forum, held these days in Sochi, Ulyanovsk Region has reached an agreement with German company “Hermle”, another large machine manufacturer, on the construction of its plant in the industrial park ”Zavolzhye”. Apart from production facilities, the machine-building complex will include service center and show room. According to press-service of the Regional Government, the company intends to invest 400 million rubles at the first stage of the construction. The factory will open in the end of the next year.

Sergey Morozov, the Governor of Ulyanovsk Region, said that “Hermle” was by no means the last company entering the region. The agreements with the producer of components for “DNG Mori” and with the company producing machine-building articles will be signed by the end of the current year. Dutch “Mayfran Limburg” and Swiss “Gondrand International” have already become the residents of the industrial park and the first suppliers for DMG Mori’s plant.
