Rostov region will have two new canning plants by 2019. The estimated amount of investment is €80 million. The large investment project includes a construction of two canning plants manufacturing peeled tomatoes, crash and tomato paste.
The investors are Semikarakorsk Canning Plant and Italia’s Zanichelli MECCANICA SPA (ZACMI). The investment agreement, completed at the international trade fair Green Week in Berlin at the start of this year, includes construction of two manufacturing sites in Semikarakorsk and Volgodonsk districts of Rostov region. Semikarakorsk plant will produce around 60 million cans and 10 thousand tons of frozen vegetables a year. Companies plan to start the construction in 2016. Details on Volgodonsk plant are not disclosed.
