Buryatia authorities and made an arrangement with the Japanese about solid-waste disposal-and-recycling plant construction

Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn, the Head of the Republic of Buryatia, and Arai Toshikazu, the Director of Russia and CIS Relation Office Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on a solid-waste disposal-and-recycling plant construction in Baikal region, as the Press Service of Buryatia government reported.

“The Japanese together with financial company “Metropol” and state owned company “Atomenergomash” plan to build a solid-waste disposal-and-recycling plant in Buryatia… For the first time the Japanese company expressed the intention to cooperate in the field of ecology during the international forum “Baikal Dialogue”. Today the construction project is ready for realization and the Ministry of Natural Resources of Buryatia has already determined the construction area”.

Vyacheslav Nagovitsyn highlighted that Mitsubishi Heavy Industries uses cutting edge methods in waste recycling. According to Arai Toshikazu, the soon-to-be plant will be identical to already operating recycling plant in Japan. The amount of investment is undisclosed.
